New research into Viking activity on Iberian Peninsula

Sagas, chronicles and other written source mention the Vikings both coming into contact with, trading with and raiding the Iberian Peninsula during the time of the Arabic/Muslim reign. However, almost no archaeological evidence has been found. Interestingly, no major or coordinated archaeological research has been done specifically seeking to find Viking traces.

Now University of Aberdeen has launched such a study, and it will be very interesting to follow their discoveries and findings.
